      Artist Biography: Toya Young         “Singing is my gift and as long as God wants me to share it, I will.” By Marques the Writer The ability to be able to sing is a gift that not everyone is blessed with; however it is natural for Arizona-based recording artist, Toya Young.  Her natural gift has been with her throughout her entire life, from singing in the church choir to school solos and everything in between. In 2007, the West Phoenix-native decided to hit the studio and began a new journey in life.  Her style can be described as a brilliant mixture of R&B and Pop, with deep and realistic story lines.  She began building a local buzz by recording guest appearances on the records of already established artists.   Toya Young has collaborated with a plethora of talented artists including: Cballa Young, City Lyfe, Advisor Rex T, Profit 2 Profit and more. The entirety of her production can be credited to super producer, Cballa Young.  She learned a lot throughout the years and is determined to always grow.  One of the lessons that she learned is to take everything in strides.  “…learn as you go. Never get discouraged and remain humble,” she said.  She is primarily influenced by outstanding artists such as: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah, SWV, TLC, Kelley Price, Destiny's Child, Yolanda Adams, and Beyoncé. The defining moments in her career is remembering her firsts of everything-studio, album single, album release party, etc. The registered ASCAP member has performed in venues in cities such as: Phoenix, AZ, as well as Atlanta, GA, Panama City FL, and San Diego CA.   She is proactively working towards expanding her fan base through consistent releases and performances.   She recently recorded her sophomore album entitled, “Emotions”. This album has been receiving tremendous support and is available on major retail outlets.  The first single on this album is, “Can’t Get Enough”.
